Functions and Scope

Functions are where Crow makes its first big bet. The syntax will take you thirty seconds; the scope rule — what a function can and cannot see — is where Crow deliberately parts company with Python, and it's the foundation that makes chapter 6's automatic parallelism possible. We take them in that order.
